BMW interiors are high quality and none more so than in the 7 Series. Light coloured leather used on the lower parts of the dashboard and doors makes the 7 Series cabin feel even more spacious than it already is. The 12.3-inch infotainment system can be operated with gesture control.

If there’s one thing the 7 Series isn’t short of, it’s space. Up to 4 people will find themselves very comfortable in the standard version. However, the long-wheelbase model (denoted by an ‘L’ in the badging, e.g., 750Li) offers even more space.
A bench seat is fitted as standard in the back, but you can opt for the Rear Seat Comfort Plus Pack, which swaps that for 2 heated and ventilated ‘Executive Lounge’ seats. With this you’ll get controls for rear-seat air conditioning, as well as 2 cupholders and electric window blinds as part of the upgraded pack.
The 7 Series range is available to lease with either diesel or plug-in hybrid engines, which means the option is there to keep running costs down.
The lowest-powered 730d is the most efficient diesel, capable of up to 50.4mpg on official economy tests.
The 745e plug-in hybrid officially does up to 156.9mpg, but that’s only if the 12kWh battery is regularly charged. Once it is full, the 745e will travel a maximum of 34 miles on electric power up to 87 m.
The 7 Series comes in 2- or 4-wheel-drive versions. For the best economy, choose the 2-wheel-drive models.
