A Peugeot e-Rifter lease offers lots of space and storage, but also has a bit of style. It has a chunky front end, with SUV-style cladding, and an interior that hides its van roots well.
The 5-seat layout offers plenty of room, including three sets of Isofix child-seat mounts in the back, while all of the passenger seats fold flat to create a massive 3,500 litres of space.
The heavy battery is fitted under the floor so it smooths out the suspension, while the quick responses of the electric motor mean the e-Rifter is easy to drive.
Since the e-Rifter is electric, that means there’s an automatic gearbox as standard. The e-Rifter cruises along well, while pressing a ‘B’ button by the drive mode selector adds more energy recovery. The energy-flow dial on the dashboard shows you that this recovers more energy back into the battery, which helps make the most of the e-Rifter’s battery charge. Peugeot claims that the E-Rifter can travel up to 172 miles on a full charge of its battery, which is 50kWh in size.
The Peugeot e-Rifter’s main strength is its practicality, with up to 3,500 litres of space on offer with all the seats (including the front passenger item) folded. Access to the back row is easy, thanks to the sliding side doors. This means they’re easy to open in tight spaces and fitting child seats inside is a breeze. If you’re doing that, then there are three sets of Isofix child seat mounts across the back row.
As well as a 3,500-litre maximum, the e-Rifter offers 775 litres of space in 5-seat mode, which is about as much as you’ll be able to fit in a hatchback with all of the back seats folded.

There are just two trim levels on offer, Allure and GT. The GT features alloy wheels and more upmarket interior trim than Allure, including a dark-brown dashboard finish.
